Submissions

The Penn State Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited articles for publication in a future edition. Authors are encouraged to use gender-neutral, third-person language. In addition, citations should substantially conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (a copyright of the Columbia Law Review Association, the Harvard Law Review Association, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and The Yale Law Journal). A copy of the Law Review’s style guide for articles is available upon request.

The Penn State Law Review will consider submissions that meet the following, minimum criteria:

• • At least one author must have a J.D. or LL.M. degree from a U.S. law school.
    • Submissions from current J.D. or LL.M. students, with the exception of the Law Review’s internal comment-writing process, will not be accepted.
  • The article is between 8,000 and 35,000 words, and the footnote percentage is less than or equal to 50% of the total word count, but greater than 10%.
  • The article’s topic must cover American law in some aspect.
  • The article cannot be a genuine empirical study.

For articles submitted via email, please email the article to the Editor-in-Chief, Jennifer Bauer, at jlp5170@psu.edu. Please attach a copy of the article, a current CV, and, if possible, a brief abstract of the article. Within the body of your email, please also include the following information:
