Judge Leon granted (but stayed pending appeal) the plaintiff’s motion for preliminary injunction in which he barred the government’s collection of plaintiff’s “telephony metadata” associated with their Verizon phone accounts and required the government to destroy any of plaintiff’s information collected through the NSA’s “Bulk Telephony Metadata Program.”
